Every Summer Has A Story - never let yours end...

Letterpress Printing

We have collaborated with Sycamore Street Press several times and when we do it is so very exciting. Our latest collaboration is going to be with Priscilla Witte, an illustrator and artist out of Venice Beach, California . We're big fans of what PC has been doing over the last few years and when we had the chance to work with her again we said yes right away!

We were lucky enough to have her come and do art for our former boutique hotel - The Admiral Zaton. Her murals lit up the property from her masterpiece on the ceiling of our restaurant to the indiviual pieces throughout the hotel.

We were lucky enough to have her come and do art for our former boutique hotel - The Admiral Zaton. Her murals lit up the property from her masterpiece on the ceiling of our restaurant to the indiviual pieces throughout the hotel. That being said we had her design a final piece in homage to the roots of The Admiral - "Never Drop Anchor, Always Keep Exploring." To make this piece incredible special and limited in edition we had Sycamore Street Press print it on their vintage Vandercook #3, which was built in the 1940s.

IT HAS NO MOTORIZED PARTS AT ALL, SO EVERYTHING IS HAND POWERED

From the ink distribution to the movement of the cylinder across the bed of the press. The raised artwork on the polymer plates are inked as the cylinder passes over it. The paper is then pressed down onto the inked surface of the polymer plate, which creates the great impression that this letterpress is known for.

This limited edition collaboration between Priscilla Witte, Sycamore Street Press, and Capt. Steezy is only available in 100 pieces.
